Come with a swatch and learn how to be unafraid of your knitting. We will learn to fix the most common beginner mistakes, including dropped stitches, unintentional yarn-overs, and double stitches. We will also discuss when ripping is the right thing to do and how to do it with confidence. This class is always full of Ah-Ha moments so come join us and love your knitting again!
Appropriate for anyone who can knit and purl.
Yarn: Pick a medium weight plied yarn that has good stitch definition. Avoid dark colors and fuzzy, hairy, or nubby textures.
Needles: select a needle size appropriate for the yarn you are using. Gauge is not critical.
Homework before class: Cast on 30 stitches. Work 6 rows garter stitch (knit every row). Row 7: K3, pm, k24, pm, k3. Row 8: K3, p 24, k3. Repeat rows 7 and 8 for 2 inches. Leave on the needles and bring to class.
