Sock Elements: $36
Instructor: Kellie Nuss
Saturday July 8, 1 -4pm
Make a sample sock from start to finish in this one day workshop. You’ll learn how to cast-on, turn a heel, pick up stitches, shape a gusset, and make a toe.
Skills Needed: knit and purl, and basic decreases. Experience using double pointed needles is helpful but not necessary to take the class.
Yarn: 50 yards of Worsted Weight, smooth with good stitch definition. Sample is made using Plymouth Galway.
Needles: One set of five (5) Double Pointed Needles (5” or 6” length ok), size 6.
Gauge: Gauge is not critical for the sample. Use a needle size to knit a firm fabric. Gauge will be discussed in class.
Pattern: Provided by instructor in class.

Will she be teaching toe-up socks
We will have a toe up class some time in the future but the nature of this quickie class is to teach all the properties of sock creation in one class.
